Our Story
Hey there, I’m Constance, Founder and Director of Distinctive People.
After 18 years working in Senior HR, Operations & Learning roles I gravitated to working in start-ups. I loved the excitement of being in a business that was on the cusp of something amazing. Through my own experience I realised that these elements were crucial to the success of the business but were often not a priority because:
it was something new and slightly scary so they didn’t know where to start;
the business understood the importance of HR but couldn’t make a long-term financial commitment; or
they had tried to implement HR before and for a number of reasons (culture fit being one!) it just didn’t work.
